Love - link yourself to the source of divine love

You take an apple, cut it into pieces and eat it: this gives you a particular sensation. If you bite straight into the apple, you have a different sensation. Now, go up to an apple tree, pull a branch towards you and start biting into an apple without picking it – you have yet another sensation. You can feel how alive this apple is, and you experience a sense of well-being, an exquisite taste, and a joy that the tree itself imparts to you because it is connected to the earth and draws forces from the earth, which you then draw towards yourself. By means of its fruit, the tree has served to put you in contact with the earth. This example can be transposed to the domain of love. Suppose that a man or a woman has cut their ties with heaven – they are like a fruit detached from the tree: they have already lost part of their energies and of their magnetism, so what will you then be able to ‘taste’? You will of course find a few crumbs to nibble on, you will have some sensations, but you will not feel that you are linked to the immensity of this source of divine love. Whereas if you love someone who is connected to the Tree of Life, you will feel like you are in communion with the centre of the universe, with the cosmic ocean.
