Happiness - the result of love, not of knowledge

Those whose field of vision is too narrow cannot be happy. That is why egotists cannot be happy; everything about them has shrunk. If you want to be happy, you must stretch yourself until you are wide open and able to embrace the whole world, and only love makes this possible. Those who are full of love stretch and expand. They embrace and vibrate in harmony with the whole universe, and everything in the universe opens up to them. They know no barriers and happiness never abandons them. The pre-condition for happiness* is love; not science, not philosophy, only love. Science and knowledge cannot bring you happiness; they can only pave the way, guide you and give you some light, but they are incapable of making you happy. Solomon understood this. He said, ‘For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.’ Those who know a great deal are not happy; those whose hearts are full of love, even if they do not know much, are far happier.
