Master, spiritual - can help his disciples, be- cause he is free

Teachers have no further involvement with their pupils once lessons are over. They go home and get caught up again in their own activities, their thoughts, feelings and problems. They have taught their class, and that is that. A spiritual master, on the other hand, is constantly concerned with his disciples - day and night, while he is eating, working or sleeping, he holds their souls and spirits in his thoughts, and that is how he helps them day in, day out. You may ask yourself how this is possible. Well, it's simply because an initiate is free! And when you are free, when you have solved your problems, you can help your friends, your disciples, your students. Whereas if you always remain too taken up with your own affairs, too engaged and caught up in them, as is the case with most human beings, what can you do for others? That is another difference between a true spiritual master and an ordinary teacher.
