All spiritual teachings say that instead of spending our lives looking for powers on the outside - powers, in fact, we will never truly possess - it is far better to endeavour to hold these powers within us. This is what we should practise, what we should work on, because true power lies within, within the person who lives, thinks and acts. It is the person who makes the decision, who has the materials available to them and who undertakes the building work. And the initiates have set out rules and methods to enable the principle, i.e. the spirit, which holds everything and has everything available to it, to manifest itself fully, perfectly and absolutely. You know Master Peter Deunov's formula: 'Niama sila kato silata na douha, samo silata na douha é sila bojia': 'There is no power like the power of the spirit, only the power of the spirit is divine Power'. We must seek out the power of the spirit. True power lies in the spirit, in the will, in the intelligence of the spirit.
