When teaching their disciples, initiates say very little. …

When teaching their disciples, initiates say very little. They reveal a few basic truths, and it is up to the disciples to make sense of them, to become immersed in them, to live them. Yes, initiates imbue their words with all their love, with all their soul and spirit, and their disciples drink them in, taste them, and absorb them. They nourish themselves far more with the life contained in these words than with the words themselves. This of course means a great work of apprenticeship for the disciples. It is up to them to develop the sensitivity enabling them to discover the life contained in these words and so to nourish, strengthen and transform themselves. As long as they are content to simply read or hear such words without feeling or living them, they receive nothing of this hidden life which could enlighten them, heal them, awaken them. It is not the intellect, but the soul and the spirit within you that must come first. Only then, thanks simply to a few spoken words, will you one day be able to travel in space.
