Usually the astral body really starts to be at work around the fourteenth year of life. In a human being, it is the center of emotions, feelings and passions. Since it can develop negatively as well as positively, it manifests in a teenager as a need to rebel and destroy, as well as a need to love and be dedicated. Of course a very young child already manifests attractions or repulsions, but not so strongly. At fourteen years old, feelings dominate and become the motive and the law, because feelings are not controlled by the mental body, which is the center of thought, reflection, and reasoning, and this body really manifests only around the twenty-first year. If you have a young boy, a young girl who feels love for someone, you can try to give them all possible explanations to divert them; they do not listen and plunge into that feeling to find an outlet. Or, if they listen and submit from fear, obedience or respect for adults, inwardly they keep their feelings, because feelings govern this period of their life.
