Most people do not know what attitude they should adopt …

Most people do not know what attitude they should adopt towards their weaknesses and faults. The greater the fault, the more they are afraid of it and humiliated by it, the more they feel helpless to cope with it. Whereas, in fact, it should be just the opposite: they should be proud of it. Yes! Who gave life to this fault? It is they, consciously or not... it is they! This fault is the fruit of their will-power, their desires or their stubbornness.
At first a fault is a tiny thing - a negative thought or feeling, which you keep inside and nourish, so that it snowballs and ends by becoming a mountain, too big to get rid of... it becomes a vice. However that may be, since it is you who fathered it, the greater this vice, the more it proves your strength. And so, if it is you who gave it its power, why could you not take this power back?
