We can own the sky and the Earth. Yes, we can own the …

We can own the sky and the Earth. Yes, we can own the entire universe, but we can only do so inwardly. Why should we own it outwardly, materially? What would we do with all those seas, forests, mountains and stars? Imagine a very rich man who owns a park full of all that is beautiful in the world – flowers, trees, birds, fountains, waterfalls – but his business forces him to rush around from one place to another, all over world. He spends his time in planes or in meetings at his offices. He never has time to walk in his park, and on the rare occasions when he does cross it he is so absorbed in his thoughts that he does not see the park. And then there is a poet who comes to this same park everyday. He is very poor, but he finds happiness in the song of the birds, the colour and scent of the flowers, the music of the water, and he writes wonderful poetry. So, who does this park belong to? I would say to the poet. And as for the other, the owner, he just pays the taxes
