Even if they’re always repeating, ‘Money doesn’t make you happy’, humans rely too much on material acquisitions in order to be happy: a new house, a new car, a better paid job, the post of minister or president… To begin with, of course, they enjoy it. But after a while, they are bound to notice they find it less pleasurable, and once again they need something else. Except that cars, houses and honorary positions don’t grow on trees, and so they always feel dissatisfied… until the day they understand that true joy, true happiness are found in the acquisitions of the soul and spirit. But, obviously, acquisitions of the soul and spirit are of a different nature. You go for a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature, the sun, stars and mountains. They don’t belong to you, but deep within they inspire feelings, thoughts and emotions. And these alone are the true riches that will never fail to fulfil you: the revelations that come to illuminate your heart and soul.
