Despite the fact that they encounter each other every day, human beings have no more than a superficial view of one another. They focus on what they see, and often what they see is not all that wonderful. They forget that beyond this appearance there is also a soul and a spirit, and, even if this soul and spirit rarely manifest, they are there and always have the potential to appear and express themselves. Once again I must remind you that having such a superficial regard for people is no proof of intelligence. A sage, who knows that men and women are sons and daughters of God, dwells on this idea and approaches all beings with this in mind. In doing so he becomes a creator, for he develops the divine aspect in everyone he meets, and he takes joy in this. Believe me, the best way to treat others is to discover their qualities, virtues and spiritual riches and to concentrate on them.
