In recent years, one sees young people, even teenagers, …

In recent years, one sees young people, even teenagers, meddling in public affairs; they pronounce judgment on society, on the life of the country, on world events, and because they want to change the world they manage to give weight to what they say. Well, since they are speaking out - and many adults agree to let them speak - they must think carefully about what they intend to ask. If they too ask for material conditions, more and more rights and less and less responsibilities, they had better not delude themselves; there is nothing very new in that, this is what human beings have been demanding since the beginning of their existence, and it will not change the world. You will say, 'But then what should they ask for?' To be educated. And to be educated does not mean only to acquire intellectual knowledge that allows someone to obtain a diploma or a job. No! To be educated means to be guided, to receive the light that allows one to move forward on the path of inner freedom, inner force, nobleness, true love... on the path of true life. This is what young people should ask for if they truly wish to contribute effectively to the transformation of the world.
