If you have a good understanding of economic and financial affairs, you will know how to preserve the spiritual riches you receive from heaven. Everybody, however ignorant, knows that if their capital does not yield a profit they will end up with nothing, for capital that does not grow soon depreciates. But when it comes to the spiritual plane, even the most highly educated let their capital dwindle away. They forget that their supply of light, warmth, and inner wealth will soon be spent if they do not work every day to increase it. Through prayer, meditation and contemplation, we must constantly link ourselves to the divine, inexhaustible Source in order to renew daily the supply of energy we need for our work.
