In a spiritual brotherhood you meet people at different stages of evolution, and even if they seem unpleasant and unattractive you must make an effort to understand them, to love them and to have enough strength of character to want to do something for them. In a spiritual brotherhood you have every opportunity to progress by putting your likes and dislikes aside. Most people are forever looking for what suits them, for what they like. No, they must only seek what is good for their spiritual growth. Of course, if you are not looking to advance inwardly, you will be incapable of participating in a spiritual community. Only those who are looking for methods and conditions that will enable them to develop, to progress, will understand that what they find here they will never find anywhere else.
