If you are not vigilant, things which begin as little …

If you are not vigilant, things which begin as little annoyances or disappointments may grow out of all proportion in your heart and mind. We can compare it to rolling a snowball: gradually it takes on more snow until eventually it becomes enormous and blocks your path. ‘I can’t get past it anymore!’ you wail. But whose fault is that? Who created this ball? ‘So, what can I do now?’ Light a match, and hold it up to the snowball: the heat will melt it, the water will irrigate your gardens and orchards, and you will have an abundance of flowers and fruits. Yes, you must light the fire of love, and love will melt all the snowballs within you.
