All those who awaken to the spiritual life are visited by …
All those who awaken to the spiritual life are visited by luminous spirits from the invisible world. These spirits are like gardeners who come into their orchard to pick fruit and enjoy eating it. They say, ‘Oh! This watermelon, this melon, this peach… what wonderful fruit!’ And they take an interest in these people, delighting in everything luminous, musical and perfumed emanating from them. You can all be visited by celestial gardeners. You may say, ‘But I have nothing to give; I’m not an orchard. How can anyone come looking for something from me?’ In fact, there’s always some useful element to draw on – even medicines can be produced from poisonous plants! Humans have no inkling that, because they are like laboratories full of chemical elements, they are constantly being visited by creatures from the other world. They would be better off if they weren’t full of poisons, but even their poisons are taken and used.
