In their ignorance and narrow-mindedness, certain mystics and ascetics refuse all exchanges with the feminine principle, and in doing so they destroy their equilibrium; they dry up and become walking cadavers. Well, this is not spirituality! You will say: ‘But many great masters and initiates have not married. Did they look like these fanatics?’ No, the great masters and initiates are very broadminded, and they understand God’s creation. If they live a life of abstinence and chastity, it is because they make such rich and marvellous exchanges on the subtle planes with the feminine principle, the divine Mother, that they have no need to descend so low on the physical plane as to limit and burden themselves. They eat and drink from springs in regions unknown to most human beings, where all exchanges take place in the greatest light and the greatest purity. Angels visit them, archangels visit them, and they swim in divine love.
