People say suffering educates humans. But since they suffer,…
People say suffering educates humans. But since they suffer, why are they not wiser? When they are in the throes of anguish, they resolve never to make the same mistake, and they even pray to the Lord though they’ve never prayed before! But as soon as things improve a little, their good intentions are quickly forgotten. Yes, because suffering is not enough, and if they don’t understand why they suffer or what they should do so as not to suffer anymore they fall back into the same weaknesses, the same mistakes, and they start to suffer again. Those who suffer need light, so that the reasons for their suffering and the means to remedy it become clearer to them, and they also need love to feel comforted and encouraged. You can only relieve people’s suffering if you know how to manifest wisdom and love when you’re with them.
