Simplicity is a criterion for truth. Thus, simplicity is characteristic of the worldview of initiates: they have learned to condense the infinite multiplicity of events and activities of the physical plane and of the psychic plane, too, down to a few basic principles. And what are these principles? Geometric figures. Yes. You find that surprising?... But then, why do you think some philosophical traditions have seen God as a geometer? Plato himself wrote, ‘God is a geometer’. This concept of the Divinity originated with a few great minds, who understood it was possible to summarize the multiplicity of created beings and things and the relationships between them in a few very simple principles. And what can be simpler than a geometric figure – a circle, for example, or a triangle, a square, a pyramid, a cross…?
