So many people who claim to be working for an ideal …
So many people who claim to be working for an ideal mistakenly believe that heaven will uphold them in any endeavours whatsoever. Momentous obstacles may stand in their way, but they do not - or will not - see them. They set out blindly, persuaded that God will be so amazed at their good plans that He will level those mountains. No, the Almighty does not level mountains for those who are imprudent and presumptuous. What God can do - and therefore the only thing you should ask of Him - is to give you the light you need. For the light will enable you to find the best way, to avoid pitfalls and precipices. It will give you the strength to carry your enterprise through to the end.
