There are those who come to reproach me, saying: ‘Master, …

There are those who come to reproach me, saying: ‘Master, you have told us that we must be open to others, and it is our wish to follow your advice, but we have been deceived and betrayed…’ Of course, it is always my fault! But did I say you had to be blind? No. If you see that someone is unfair, dishonest or mean-spirited, don’t close your eyes and tell yourself that since it is important to trust, you should overlook his faults. On the contrary, you must keep your eyes wide open; you must not delude yourself. But at the same time, seek by your attitude to neutralize the negative manifestations in this person, and even to awaken the manifestations of his divine nature. Real trust is based on vigilance, not on blindness.
