Anxiety and sadness are like clouds that pass through you, …

Anxiety and sadness are like clouds that pass through you, hiding the sun. When this happens to you, do not feed the cloud your dark thoughts and complain that the sun has abandoned you; try to concentrate on dispersing the cloud instead. If you succeed, you will notice that the sun (and the sun here is an image of the Deity) is always present and that, if you were no longer able to feel it, it was because of the clouds you allowed to accumulate within you. Once you have learned to chase away your clouds, you could try dispersing the collective clouds that hang over humanity, depriving it of light. Yes, it’s true. Once you have planted a grain of wheat in the earth and seen what a magnificent ear it produces, you can sow thousands of similar grains and be sure you will one day harvest wheat to feed others with. And it is the same for inner work, spiritual work. Once you have conquered something within yourself, you can be confident that, thanks to your work, you will be able to help your community and the whole of humanity.
