Eve - the importance of the last moment before going to sleep
No phenomenon, thought, feeling or action can exist in isolation, without being linked to another phenomenon, thought, feeling or action. Each has a cause, and each, sooner or later, produces consequences. Every day of your life provides examples of this. Suppose you have had a good day; then, just as you are going to bed, something happens that saddens or disheartens you. As you awaken the following morning, it is obvious that all the happiness of the previous day has been erased, replaced by these few disagreeable moments just as you fell asleep, and this unpleasant impression remains. This means that the last moment was more important and more significant than all the rest of the day.*
