Whether consciously or unconsciously, humans have committed certain transgressions in their prior incarnations, and if they have done nothing to make amends they now find themselves in difficult situations with debts to pay and complicated affairs to untangle. But destiny hides this from them, and, when they are entering into a business association or a marriage, they cannot see the true nature of the people with whom they are about to join forces, or how these people will behave toward them in various situations. If they were forewarned, they could easily escape their ordeals. But so that their debts can be paid, the law of justice arranges for them to have neither recollection nor premonition. They are plunged up to their necks in a pot where they cook, and there they will stay until they have learned the lessons of divine Justice.
