Yesterday you fed yourself, and in fact you fed yourself …

Yesterday you fed yourself, and in fact you fed yourself very well, but today that is of no use at all; and you must begin all over again. Today you must do again what you did yesterday, because yesterday it was for yesterday, and today you must do what is necessary for today. Yesterday you meditated, you were in an extraordinary state of inspiration, expansiveness, and wonder, and you thought you would be able to preserve this state. No, today you must renew your efforts once more in order to be newly inspired, filled with wonder and a sense of expansion. Every day you must set to work anew. Why? Because life is perpetually in motion. Today you must concern yourself with new matter, new forces, new presences, in order to influence them, to orient them, to move them in the same direction you moved them the day before. And tomorrow you will have to set about this same work once again.
