Only an understanding of man’s psychic structure can shed light on the question of truth. This structure rests on three basic elements: the intellect, which allows us to think, the heart, which allows us to experience feelings, and the will which, stimulated by the intellect and the heart, allows us to act. The ideal of the intellect is to manifest wisdom, the ideal of the heart is to manifest love, and the ideal of the will, which derives from the other two, is to manifest truth. This means that the more the thoughts of our intellect strive toward wisdom, and the feelings of our heart toward love, the more we are in truth. Yes, this is the secret of truth, which is very simple. Truth has been defined in all kinds of ways that have only confused the question. In reality, it is impossible to say what truth is, since it has no existence of its own. Only love and wisdom exist, and truth is born of their union.
