Your personal life is of little significance, so why make it the centre of your concerns? What are your little problems compared with the immensity and abundance of the life a spiritual teaching provides? If you’re forever focusing on yourself, on what you like or dislike, on what does or doesn’t suit you about other people, you will never really start your work. You will remain buried under a heap of insignificant things, while infinite space lies open before you. Stop making everything revolve around you, your partner, your children, your friends and neighbours. Do you think the stars are interested in your family life or your social life? It’s up to you to turn your attention to the stars, and everyone will feel better for it.
