The instinct to imitate is universal in humankind. It …

The instinct to imitate is universal in humankind. It already manifests itself during early childhood, when the infant tries to reproduce the gestures and words of adults, and this is what allows him to make progress. Later on in life, this tendency continues to manifest itself and if an individual is to develop well, this tendency should move away from being instinctive and unconscious and become conscious. Most people do not know whom they should choose as a role model, or indeed how important this question of a role model is to their psychic life. And so whom do they end up imitating? People who have achieved fame, success and wealth. Well, these people are not the best of role models. You will say: 'So who is the best role model?' The sun. Take the sun as a role model and as each day you marvel at its beauty, its limpidity, its power and all the life that flows from it, you will gradually see changes take place within you: something in your heart and in your soul will begin to vibrate differently; you will become more luminous, warmer, more alive, and you in turn will have a beneficial effect on those around you.
