I do not criticize intellectuals and the importance given …
I do not criticize intellectuals and the importance given to university studies because I find intellectuals so ridiculous or maleficent and university studies so useless and damaging. No, my criticism lies with this tendency to consider intellectual work and studies as being the acme of knowledge and thought, as if there were nothing else beyond that. If cosmic Intelligence has given humankind an intellect, it is so that they may use it, and they use it to carry out research, perform tests, take measurements and make comparisons. That is all well and good, but the sphere they are able to explore with their intellect is limited. The intellect will not give them true certainties. They will only be able to acquire true certainties once they have decided to pursue their investigations further afield, in the sphere of the soul and the spirit.
